NEW - ISO 17025: 2017 - Our one day "transition" course is aimed at calibration and testing laboratories - and are well placed to provide the technical and management expertise - for a smooth transition.


Those of you with ISO 9001: 2015 experience, will understand the requirement for a risk minimisation and the process of targeted performance improvement. The new ISO 17025 follows a similar theme within its management system requirements. Our training programme provides an overview of these changes, along with practical examples – for both calibration and test laboratories – ensuring your LIMS (laboratory information management system) remains technically compliant and commercially aware.

Course Objectives

Our training course programme is aimed at those already familiar with the requirements of ISO 17025: 2005 and those seeking to understand the new ISO 17025: 2017. Our course tutor is extremely experienced at both the technical compliance level of the laboratory, through to the commercial realities of laboratory operations. Therefore, we view this transition as an opportunity to modernise and improve the business; ensuring effective added value for performance improvement.

Our training will provide delegates with an understanding of the changes through to the application of practical examples – thereby ensuring compliance and a smooth transition to the new requirements. Coupled of course to providing those new to laboratory management system, an insight into the wider Standard and market expectations.

Course Tutor

The course tutor is a true practitioner, with a career from NAMAS M10 series accredited laboratories, MoD DEF STANS inspection and testing, through to managing British Government international projects with UKAS. A former Compliance Manager with Europe’s largest testing and calibration group, the tutor undertakes projects with SWEDAC (Swedish Accreditation) and RvA (Dutch Accreditation) on behalf of the European Commission in support of harmonised testing and calibration – for trade facilitation. At a local level, the tutor provides consultancy and internal audit services to a number of UKAS accredited laboratories.
