AS 9100 Awareness & Implementation

13th November 2019, Clevedon

Summary

AS 9100 Awareness & Implementation

After achieving AS 9100 and or AS 9120 certification your business will be listed within the IAQG acknowledged database – OASIS – the only recognised point of reference for aerospace buyers.

IAQG drives the principle factor; the performance and prosperity of an any organisation – whether operating within aerospace, space or defence – is the quality and integrity of products or services provided. Therefore, the demonstration of compliance and performance improvement must be at the very heart of the organisations philosophy – concluding with customer confidence.

Accompanying this philosophy is the high-profile importance placed on Quality Standards to drive consistent quality and reliability throughout the supply chain.

This continuing trend towards more stringent customer expectations with regard to quality and reliability within the aerospace and defence sector. Therefore, adopting formally accredited certification against AS 9100 and ISO 9001 will provide market and customer confidence.

This course is developed and delivered to provide you and your organisation with the technical and management confidence to not only comply with the AS 9100 requirements but, improve performance improvement throughout the business – thereby sustained economic improvement.

Course Background & Description

AS 9100 was released in October 1999 by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the European Association of Aerospace Industries. AS 9100 replaces the earlier AS 9000 and fully incorporates the entirety of the current version of ISO 9001 with the additional and specific requirements relating to critical component - in-process quality control, materials traceability testing, inspection competence and product safety issues. Major aerospace producers and suppliers worldwide require (UKAS and or ANAB) accredited certification against AS 9100 as prerequisite to contract.

AS 9100 is the adopted Quality Management System Standard for the aerospace and defence sector (and for the sake of an easy read, we’ll refer to AS 9100 only from this point forward).

After achieving AS 9100 and or AS 9120 certification your business will be listed within the IAQG acknowledged database – OASIS – the only recognised point of reference for aerospace buyers.
